INTRODUCTION to MODULE 2
During Module 2, the goal is to experience Psychodrama and be exposed to psychodrama, sociometry and group psychotherapy in a more organic way. For this reason, I have designed a course with two types of meetings every month. Meeting one is focused on personal growth, and a second meeting is focused on professional growth. Psychodrama is an experiential method and in the process of learning about it and executing it, there is a warmup process for director and auxiliary roles. Module 2 is a time and place to practice, witness, play, learn and integrate the concepts from Module 1.
Meeting 1 – Group Concerns (1 ½ hours) This meeting will follow the structure of a psychodrama session with warm-up, action and sharing. Students will be able to address their own personal process within the context of the group process (concerns, projections, transference and counter transference, triggers). The student will have the opportunity to go inside themselves and identify their trail heads to work with unfinished businesses. It is a chance to do personal growth. This meeting will be led by Paula Catalán Bayón.
Meeting 2 – The Playground (3 hours) Students will have the opportunity to direct, take auxiliary roles, practice warmups and practice action structures. This will be a less structured meeting where the goal is for students to feel spontaneous, play with what they know, have fun, be in the moment, make mistakes and learn from them. There will be modeling of action structures and students also will have the opportunity to direct short pieces and warmups. These meetings will be focused on professional growth.
Toy Box: Every student will bring to every meeting drawing materials, markers, construction paper, puppets, finger puppets or anything that could represent someone.
